Nothing changes until you change it!
Sometimes we are waiting for things to change. Remember, a definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result.
If you want something you have never had, ie: a calm spirit, an attitude of acceptance of what is, etc, you must be prepared to do something you have never done. Some things are out of our hands. We cannot change them. But there are any things we can change if we try. It’s the little things that make the big difference in the long run. A little change here, an attitude adjustment there, and sooner or later we begin to start to see the difference.
It takes about 10 kilometers to turn around one of the large ocean going freighters out at sea. These super tankers take up to 14 kilometers to stop when thrown from forward into full reverse. Your life, your work, your attitude, your ministry may have been traveling in one direction for awhile. You may think it impossible for you to change. You may be waiting for God to do it for you!
Enter The Law of the Circle.
We resist changing for many reasons. Whatever we believe about ourselves at a deep, sometimes hidden, level, we continually manifest. If we believe we are worthless, we will find a way to sabotage ourselves; over and over again. To succeed is in conflict with our deepest beliefs. Once we accept an identity, we hold on to it for dear life! The fear of finding out who we really are sometimes is just too big!
The Law of the Circle is the same as the Law of Gravity. Meaning, it is there whether you believe it or not. So now what? How you think about yourself, about anyone else, will come back to you. Practice noticing how you are thinking and emoting at all times! Change the course of your ship by putting your attention on how you want things to be. Create a new paradigm that will help you create the life you desire! Remember, people treat us the way we perceive ourselves. So practice seeing yourself as.....Love!
Remember the words of e.e.cummings
“To be nobody-but-yourself— in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else— means to fight the hardest battle any human can fight”
Beautiful musings, thanks for sharing Mary! It’s comforting to be reminded that things may indeed be changing even if it still feels like the momentum hasn’t shifted directions in a noticeable way!
Sending love!
